Dr. Sarah Elizabeth became interested in learning how young children learn to read when she was 8 years old and her sister, 5.5 years younger, was learning to read, having memorized Dr. Seuss' "Hop on Pop."

Dr. Sarah's love for reading, and children, and learning, led her to earn her Bachelor's in Early Childhood/Elementary Education, her Master's in Literacy Education, and her Ph.D. all at NYU. She taught PreK/K, 3rd, 4th, and 5th grades, and then began coaching early childhood teachers in NYC.

Dr. Sarah began tutoring children with their reading 1:1 when she was an Undergrad. She's helped over 50 children and teens over the years; all with impactful results that sustain.

Dr. Sarah is flexible with her scheduling and pricing to make her services accessible. Families with higher income are asked to pay her full rate, so families with less income can have a discount.

Dr. Sarah works remotely with students all over the country. She can work in person with students age 5-18 in Chicago, especially if families would like to commute to a library or her home.

Some students only need a few sessions to gain powerful skills/techniques to get them to grade level/help boost their confidence/motivation. Other students needs more sessions.

Dr. Sarah always recommends beginning with the assessment, and then making a plan after the assessment is completed.
